Power Reading is a three-book series developed by world acclaimed content developer Paul Nation. The course focuses on the four-strand approach to language instruction including meaning-focused input, meaning focused output, language-focused learning, and fluency development. Each unit incorporates reading and listening passages on related content, which both engages learners’ interest and provides useful information. The difficulty of the series is graded so students progress through the levels comfortably handling increasingly longer and more difficult passages. A variety of extension activities in the series support the development of learners’ reading, listening, writing, and discussion skills.
